Description:
Summary: The Sr. Events Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of various events as it relates to the overall corporate event strategy.
Essential Job Duties: - Works collaboratively with the other events team members to ensure consistency and support overall event team initiatives
- Leverages their experience to help develop other team members and implement best practices across the organization
- Manages planning and execution of full range of events, including large-scale, high visibility events
- Act as lead event manager for a variety of events including national, regional and industry related events
- Research lead on new virtual event platforms and in-person event locations
- Research lead on new event options for activities and incentives
- Works with cross-functional marketing team to co-manage pre- and post-show event campaigns and follow up plans
- Event planning includes but is not limited to contract negotiation, creative development, logistical coordination of on-site needs (audiovisual, setup, food and beverage), registration management, and database management
- Act as single point of contact with internal & external stakeholders and external vendors for all programs (unless otherwise designated)
- Troubleshoot all related event issues to resolution
- Manages production and purchasing for events through various external and internal resources.
- Creates & nurtures external relationships with various vendors
- create RFPs working with the events team and internal stakeholders
- Manage and analyze budgets per program, per event
- Reconciles budgets with final approval of VP
- Incorporates strategic initiatives and objectives into actionable plans
- Applies industry and corporate knowledge to quality control on event marketing communications
- Manages communications with appropriate amount of analysis
- Manage recruitment of onsite staff including scheduling and onsite supervision
- Oversee all event logistics to ensure successful execution or projects
- Monitor timely invoicing as it relates to vendor contracts, working with the accounting team or finance manager
- Ensure all documents are processed correctly and signed off in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Reporting Relationships: - Reports to Sr. Manager of Events
- Support includes but is not limited to sales and supplier services
- Contact with vendors, customers, suppliers, co-workers, and executive management
Requirements: - High school diploma required
- 5 or more years event planning experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & MS Teams
- Proficiency in CVENT
Preferred: - Experience working with a variety of platforms (Hubspot, Asana, webinar platforms, etc.)
- College degree in marketing
Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit or stand at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote and in-office attendance designated for this position.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Physical lifting and moving of boxes and show materials
- Ability to work long hours and/or outside of standard work hours based on the nature of the event.
Compensation: Compensation Range: $75, 000-$90, 000
Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
