Position Summary

As a Dietary Aide, you will assist with meal preparation, service, and kitchen operations while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Your role ensures residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs in a safe and welcoming setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and distribute meal trays according to dietary guidelines
  • Assist with meal service and food preparation
  • Clear trays, wash dishes, and operate the dishwasher
  • Monitor and record dishwasher temperature and sanitation levels
  • Prepare snacks and nourishments
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining areas
  • Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
  • Store food and supplies safely and neatly
  • Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout shift
  • Follow all food safety and infection control procedures
  • Assist the cook and dietary supervisor as needed
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Reliable transportation required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certificate
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Compassion for the geriatric population
