Quality Supervisor

Position Summary

The Quality Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for developing, managing, maintaining and improving the quality assurance program at the manufacturing site level.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Ensuring a safe work environment for team members
  • Managing and motivating team members and directing daily work activities of quality technicians
  • Ensuring the quality assurance program at the plant is effective in ensuring the delivery of products and services that meet customer expectations in a continuous improvement environment
  • Developing and analyzing statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability standards for finished products
  • Monitoring quality performance in areas of scrap, vendor performance, and customer concerns; leading corrective actions where required
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and responding to customer concerns to ensure root cause analysis and appropriate corrective action to successfully manage the customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Providing technical and statistical expertise and supporting team members engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity
  • Reviewing all engineering changes and product releases and recommending fixtures, gages and equipment to ensure the part or assembly meet the tolerance, finish, and material specifications
  • Designing, developing and implementing quality control training programs.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation and reporting to management as needed
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives at the plant
  • Ensuring reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintaining 5S in assigned areas of responsibility and training team members on 5S

Qualifications

Position requires bachelor's degree in quality engineering or a comparable discipline and 2 years related experience or equivalent in combination of education and experience in a manufacturing setting. Demonstrated leadership success and problem-solving capability are required. The successful candidate will be results oriented, a strong communicator, and have a passion for safety and quality. To be successful, must consistently present oneself as positive and professional and maintain productive work relationships with team members at all levels .
