QAD Business Consultant - Finance

This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who combines strong functional accounting knowledge with QAD ERP experience and enjoys partnering with clients to improve financial processes, reporting, and operational performance. We are open to a range of experience levels and will scope responsibilities based on demonstrated expertise and leadership capability. The QAD Finance Business Consultant partners with clients to analyze financial operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements within QAD ERP environments. This role supports budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting initiatives while helping organizations optimize performance and maintain compliance. Depending on experience, you may lead client engagements, guide transformation initiatives, and serve as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders. Key Outcomes Deliver high-quality, billable consulting services across core finance functionsImprove financial reporting accuracy, visibility, and operational efficiencySupport or lead ERP finance implementations and transformation initiativesBuild trusted advisor relationships with finance leaders and executive stakeholdersMaintain strong client satisfaction and engagement performance Responsibilities Gather and analyze financial data, operational metrics, and business requirementsSupport or lead ERP finance implementations and process improvement initiativesPrepare financial models, cost analyses, and forecasting reportsAnalyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and production variancesEnsure ERP financial data integrity through validation and internal review processesSupport budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting optimizationDeliver client presentations, documentation, and training sessionsAdvise leadership teams on financial process improvements and performance drivers (as experience allows)Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team development when appropriate Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)515+ years of finance, QAD ERP, or consulting experienceStrong expertise in core finance functions, including: Cost Accounting & Product CostingAccounts Payable & Accounts ReceivableBudgeting & ForecastingFixed AssetsGeneral Ledger & Financial ReportingBalance Sheet and P& L analysisExperience supporting ERP systems in manufacturing or product-based environmentsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsExperience working with executive-level stakeholders preferred Preferred Experience Experience with manufacturing-focused ERP systems (QAD)Industry experience in Life Sciences, Automotive, Electronics, CPG, or Food & BeveragePrior consulting experienceBackground in a senior finance role (Controller, Director of Finance, etc.) is a plusLean, Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred $100, 000 - $145, 000 a year Incentive Pay: Up to 30% of base salary, based on performance and billable utilization Compensation is commensurate with experience, certifications, and demonstrated expertise Travel may range from approximately 20%50% depending on client needs We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, company-paid life and AD& D insurance, and additional voluntary benefits.
