In this role, you will perform mechanical inspections, root cause failure analysis, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant mechanical systems to ensure operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical systems throughout the cement plant, ensuring high quality control and safe operations.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, and lubrication on plant equipment.

  • Work alongside contractor personnel to oversee work quality and productivity.

  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and recommend actions to reduce costs or increase equipment uptime.

  • Collaborate with process teams to communicate equipment status, solve technical problems, and optimize workflow.

  • Participate in formal and on-the-job cross-training programs to broaden technical competencies.

  • Work assigned rotating shifts and weekend schedules as required by operational needs.

  • Promote a culture of safety by strictly adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies across all work areas.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; a two-year technical/college degree in a related trade is preferred.

  • Experience & Skills: Practical background as a millwright or mechanical technician in a heavy industrial setting (cement plant operations preferred). Technical skill with gearbox rebuilding, shaft alignment on heavy machinery, and bearing installation is highly desirable.

  • Licensure: Valid driver's license required.

  • Workplace Capabilities: Ability to take independent initiative, solve technical problems, and work effectively within a team structure.

Safety & Physical Requirements

  • Candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) standards, including respirators where required.

  • Roles requiring respirators require candidates to be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to satisfy qualitative and quantitative fit testing.
