About the role

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Austomation Technician to join our Maintenance team on night shift (10.30pm to 6.30am), supporting our state-of-the-art automated production environment to ensure optimal performance of our high-tech systems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide expert electrical support during night shift operations, ensuring productivity and uptime.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical and automation systems, including PLCs and robotics.

  • Program, modify, and optimise PLC systems (Siemens S7 to support production efficiency.

  • Work with vision systems and machine learning tools to enhance quality control and automation accuracy.

  • Lead and mentor other electricians on shift, promoting skills development in new technologies.

  • Manage and update maintenance records using MEX CMMS.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.

What you’ll bring:

  • A Class Electrical Licence (mandatory)

  • Post-trade experience in electrical/electronic systems, automation, and robotics

  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and integration

  • Familiarity with vision systems and their application in automated manufacturing

  • Experience with CMMS (preferably MEX) and working in multi-skilled environments

  • Strong knowledge of electro/pneumatic machinery and preventative maintenance

  • Able to work autonomously or within a team with excellent communication skills

  • Willingness to work night shifts in a dynamic manufacturing environment

  • Continuous improvement and safety-first mindset, with a positive can-do attitude.
