About the Role:

As Front Office Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering our signature guest experience while ensuring seamless daily operations. You’ll coordinate and oversee the running of the hotel in the absence of the Hotel Manager or Guest Experience Manager, with a strong focus on leading the Front Office team. Your responsibilities will include managing front-of-house operations, monitoring hotel security, and driving profitability across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Front Office and Reservations departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and efficient team performance.
  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of senior management.
  • Manage staffing to meet operational needs and budget targets.
  • Maintain lobby presence during VIP and group arrivals.
  • Maximise occupancy and room rates through strategic planning and collaboration.
  • Control departmental expenses in line with budget guidelines.
  • Foster a sales culture by promoting up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Prepare monthly reports and support financial controls with senior leadership.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, conducting reviews and supporting career growth.
  • Build a positive team environment through communication, training, and recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with WH& S, company policies, and grooming standards.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of occupancy and yield management strategies, with a track record of maximising average room rate and revenue.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage departmental budgets, control costs, and monitor financial performance.
  • Experience in managing guest feedback channels, resolving complaints, and driving continuous service improvement.
  • Skilled in workforce planning, rostering, and ensuring cost-effective staffing aligned with operational needs.
