We are seeking a highly driven and commercial Business Manager (UK Grocery and Majestic), to be responsible for delivering agreed budget targets through the creation, development, and execution of Grocery Customer strategy in line with the broader Penfolds channel and brand strategies.

About the Role
The role of Business Manager (UK Grocery and Majestic), will require significant internal and external relationship development, both cross-functionally and hierarchically, as Penfolds seeks to unlock more listings, promotional, and visibility opportunities in the following accounts: Tesco, Morrisons, Costco, Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Ocado, Majestic and Impulse customers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Delivery of all commercial measures in line with budget targets and forecast as required. Including but not limited to Volume, NSR, D& R/Trade sell spend, GP/Sales Contribution, monthly forecast accuracy, and cash collection
• Creation and implementation of clear customer strategy, in line with wider Penfolds’ region, channel, and brand strategies to support delivery of the overall European plans
• Creation and implementation of Joint Business Plan to deliver on the strategy
• Creation and implementation of internal budget planning
• Driving and optimising a strong, cross-functional relationship matrix between all Global Sales regions & TWP EMEA
• Continuous and accurate demand planning, pricing, financial forecasting, and business reporting
• Develop a long terms strategy to develop our Majestic Wine business with specific focus on building national awareness of Bin 389 & French COO across the UK
• Development of a 3-year grocery strategy with a focus on preimmunizing our portfolio within the grocers
• Line management responsibility and development of a sales executive

What We're Looking For

To be successful as the Business Manager for UK Grocery and Majestic, you’ll need to be a highly organised self-starter, with detailed understanding of how to develop successful partnerships with FW customers, and exceptional prioritisation skills. Some UK travel and overnight stays will also be required.

You’ll also need:

• WSET diploma level or higher (or equivalent knowledge/qualification)
• Strong experience in the UK wine industry, with proven FW and national / key account management sales experience
• Outstanding fine wine selling skills. with knowledge and capability to understand and leverage TWE winemaking assets
• Confidence and ability to deal with leading industry figures up to MW level
• Top-notch influencing and negotiation skills
• Excellent commercial acumen
• Extensive contacts within the UK fine wine industry and strong current relationships
• Hands on experience of working in a winery would be an advantage
