The IT Lead Analyst - Software QA is a resource with IT Applications Testing Shared Services. They are responsible for systems testing of start-up implementations and O& M software development projects. The IT Lead Software Quality Analyst 's role includes analyzing and reviewing systems requirements designing test strategy and test cases, executing test cases and monitoring and control of overall test activities. Additionally, the IT Lead Software Quality Analyst will mentor testing team members, participate in performing proof-of-concept POC/research for new tools, make recommendations on such tools, and implement them upon management approval.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform systems analysis, documenting and executing testing, and defect tracking.
- Coordinate with IPT members to execute and document test activities.
- Provide direction, guidance and mentoring to other project testing team members.
- Lead and coordinate meetings with the team and client.
- Help in establishing and standardizing project processes, develop uniformity and consistency across testing teams.
- Participate in proposal writing.

• Responsible for Systems testing lead activities for systems implementation and O& M software development projects.

• Perform analysis and review of system requirements, estimations/story points, peer reviews, test data determination and preparation, designing test strategy and test cases, executing test cases and monitoring and control of overall test activities, UAT and Production support and provide testing status.

• Responsible for mentoring onshore & offshore testing team members.

• Provide direction, guidance and mentoring to other project testing team members.

• Lead efforts in performing POC/research for new tools, making recommendations of such tools, and implementing upon management approval.

• Test preparation and Test execution. - Develop, maintain, and implement integration/system Test strategy, Test plans, Test processes, Test scenarios and Test cases based on Agile methodology.

• Mentor testers on the project and assist with complex testing, including SQL queries and or utilities needed for testing during white/gray box testing

• Assist with development of functional automation scripts for regression testing.

• Communicate with analysts, developers, and product owners to understand/clarify requirements.

• Identify and manage test data for testing.

• Identify and communicate risks to the scrum master or Project team.

• Participate in UAT and Production support.

• Prepare and conduct demos/walkthroughs.

• Provide testing status reports and metric per project requirements and provide input to the Project Plans and Processes.

• Provide systems test results walkthroughs and assist in data prep and supports test case execution for UAT.

• Lead interface testing activities requiring collaboration with 3rd party vendors or State client

• Participate in scrum team, provide updates, and communicate risks to Scrum Master and Test Manager

• Maintain standardization in ng project testing processes and participate in continuous improvement process.

• Lead and coordinate meetings with the team and client.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• 7+ years of experience as a hands-on software testing and leading onshore and offshore team.

• Thorough understanding of all phases of the SDLC in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing in Cloud or Hybrid environments, and integration with GitHub for version control.

• Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

• Proficient in writing test cases and execution in an Agile environment

• Proficient in Rest components/APIs for testing webservices and web applications with tools such as Postman

• Experience in building automated test scripts

• Demonstrated proficiency with SQL for creating/modifying queries for backend and ETL testing

• Must function at the expert level with testing web based and/or mobile applications and defect management tools, processes, and reporting.

• Unix/Linux/ command line experience

• Working experience with AWS fundamentals and core concepts for test development and execution

Additional Skills / Knowledge:

• Experience in an AGILE environment.

• Healthcare Industry experience is preferred

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
