Key Responsibilities

Compliance with all road rules, regulations, and company policies is mandatory. - Proper loading and unloading of cargo is required, ensuring it is securely fastened to prevent damage during transport. It is also important to verify that the load complies with weight regulations. - Maintain the vehicle in good working condition by conducting regular maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues to management. - Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport, and complete all necessary paperwork for regulatory compliance. - Carry out any additional duties assigned by your manager that are within the scope of this role.

Key Accountabilities

• Operate heavy vehicles while adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.

• Conduct thorough pre-start checks to ensure vehicle readiness.

• Load and unload cargo securely to prevent damage during transport, making sure loads meet weight regulations.

• Perform regular maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues to management promptly.

• Plan and navigate efficient delivery routes using GPS and maps to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents, along with necessary paperwork for regulatory compliance.

• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by your manager that align with the role

To be successful, you will need:

• Knowledge and previous Warehousing experience

• Knowledge of load restraint or similar

• Results driven and attention to details.

• Self-directed and proactive working style.

• Fluent in English communication (verbal/written)

• Be physically fit, as there is a manual handling component *(including cold room packing) High attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
