About the Role

As a Village Cook, you will play an important role in supporting our team members by preparing and serving quality meals in our colleague dining facility. Working alongside a dedicated culinary team, you'll help create a positive dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and cooking meals for our colleague dining facility

• Ensuring food is consistently presented and served to a high standard

• Catering for dietary requirements and cultural preferences

• Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards

• Supporting stock rotation, inventory management, and waste minimisation

• Assisting with kitchen cleaning and operational duties

• Contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture

Base rate $26.78 + penalties + loading

What we need from you

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Commercial Cookery, with a strong background in banqueting and bulk food production
• Experience catering for up to 400 guests per service
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Extensive recipe and ingredient knowledge to produce a diverse range of dishes
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a remote island environment
