About the Role:
The Conference & Events Executive assists the C& E Manager in achieving the departmental occupancy/yield results by ensuring all practices and procedures within the department are implemented and monitored.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to monitor progress towards sales goals and adjust actions as necessary.
  • Participate actively in weekly Business on the Books meetings and provide thorough updates on all leads.
  • Prospect and engage potential C& E clients under the guidance of the Director of Sales, including warm calls and networking.
  • Plan approaches, develop proposals, participate in pricing, and handle objections to convert leads and grow business.
  • Present new products and services, enhance client relationships, and participate in internal and external debriefs.
  • Submit weekly progress reports, maintain accurate sales data, contribute to forecasts, and track activity on accounts.
  • Liaise with the Director of Sales and other departments to ensure effective communication and approval of major quotes.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including preparing quotes, issuing contracts, database management, filing, and maintaining records in Ivvy.
  • Ensure client requests are responded to within 24 hours and special requirements are met.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to plan, pitch, and close deals effectively.
  • Proficiency in sales databases, CRM platforms (Ivvy preferred), and accurate record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and liaise effectively across departments.
