Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all hotel operations during the overnight shift, ensuring a seamless guest experience
  • Act as the senior manager on duty, handling any guest enquiries, complaints, or incidents with professionalism and efficiency
  • Conduct night audit procedures, ensuring accuracy across financial reporting and system reconciliation
  • Maintain a strong presence in the lobby and key guest areas, delivering a high level of personalised service
  • Ensure all security, safety, and WHS procedures are followed, including incident management and reporting
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure operational readiness for the following day
  • Monitor arrivals, departures, and room allocations to ensure optimal guest flow
  • Lead and support the overnight team, fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, acting as the key point of contact overnight
  • Prepare and distribute relevant daily reports and handovers for senior leadership

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a Night Manager, Duty Manager, or senior Front Office role within a hotel environment
  • Strong understanding of night audit processes, financial reconciliation, and hotel systems
  • Exceptional guest service skills, with the ability to manage complex situations confidently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to lead and influence a team
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and remain calm under pressure
  • Solid understanding of hotel operations, safety, and compliance standards
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of accountability
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Experience with hotel PMS systems (e.g. Opera or similar) highly regarded
