About the Role:
In this multi site leadership position, you’ll oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across two iconic Brisbane properties - George Hotel Brisbane and Kennigo Hotel. You’ll be responsible for protecting the integrity of our assets, driving preventative maintenance programs, managing contractors and maintenance teams, and ensuring all plant, equipment and essential services operate at peak performance. With a strong focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement, you’ll work closely with hotel leadership to deliver a safe, efficient and high performing environment for both guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all maintenance, repairs and preventative programs across both hotels
• Manage contractors, work requests and procurement through myBuildings
• Ensure compliance with WHS, Essential Safety Measures and audit requirements
• Maintain fire, HVAC, electrical, hydraulic and general building systems
• Lead and train the Engineering Team, ensuring strong safety culture
• Support capital works planning and delivery
• Monitor budgets, utilities and maintenance expenditure

Skills & Experience:

Essential

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Chief Engineer
• Trade background
• Strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills
• Ability to read plans, manage defects and prioritise effectively
• Experience managing contractors and compliance requirements

Desired

• Engineering or trade diploma/degree
