Description:

Do you have a passion for the meat industry and a talent for training others? We're looking for an energetic and experienced Processing and Manufacturing Trainer to join our team and help develop the next generation of skilled meat professionals across our processing facility.

Australian Country Choice is dedicated to the best-practice supply of high-quality meat products to domestic and export markets. Our operations encompass everything from cattle breeding, backgrounding and lot feeding to beef primary processing and multi-specie further processing, value adding, retail packing and distribution. The ideal candidate will be:

  • A self-starter, someone who can think on their feet
  • Have the ability to own and be accountable for delivery of all training needs
  • Be an adaptable team player
  • Have the ability to work across 3 shifts in cold stores
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding compliance requirements
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft suite and other software systems as required
  • Proven experience in food processing, manufacturing or logistics
  • Prior training, mentoring, or teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, GMP).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Certification in meat processing or training & assessment is a plus

Your responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Monitor, maintain and provide advice and guidance to the operational team for all things training and compliance.

  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that training requirements are in line with operational needs and delivered efficiently and effectively to increase site capabilities.

  • Ability to work as part of the broader training team and take on tasks as required

  • Take ownership of projects assigned to you be accountable for deliverables and timelines.

  • Ensure all relevant work activity undertaken meets criteria for compliance, quality assurance and supports ongoing accreditation.

  • Maintenance of accurate records, files and data to ensure legislative compliance.
