About the Role

As the Senior OIC, you will oversee all AUS-MEAT classification, description, and product labelling activities while leading a team of Quality Assurance and Quality Control Officers. You will be the compliance anchor for our Approved Arrangement and maintain audit readiness for AUS-MEAT, DAFF/competent authority, and global export markets (US, EU, Middle East, China).

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the AUS-MEAT Accredited Senior Officer in Charge, ensuring full compliance with the Australian Meat Industry Language & Standards.
• Maintain continuous audit readiness for AUS-MEAT, DAFF/competent authority, and major export market requirements.
• Lead and enhance HACCP, GMP, GHP, and AA/BRCGS-based Quality Management Systems across slaughter, boning, chilling, packing, and dispatch.
• Oversee carcass and carton integrity, yield/classification accuracy, and correct cut/coding usage.
• Manage product description, NLIS/traceability, labelling, brand/ticket control, and certification issuance.
• Direct microbiological, residue, and environmental monitoring, trend analysis, investigations, and CAPA implementation.
• Supervise and mentor QA and inspection teams; deliver training on AUS-MEAT standards, SOPs, and competency requirements.
• Partner with Operations to strengthen sanitation, foreign matter control, hygienic design, and cold-chain performance.

• AUS-MEAT Standards Officer Certificate
• AUS-MEAT Officer in Charge Certificate
• Animal Welfare Certification
• Approved arrangement experience
• BRCGS Certificate
• Strong knowledge of export red-meat standards, classification systems, and market access requirements.
• 5 + years' experience leading QA/QC teams in a meat processing environment.
• Deep working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, import and export-focused QMS.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead pragmatically and empower team members.
