The ideal candidate for the role will be:

  • A self-starter, someone who can think on their feet
  • Be an adaptable team player
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding compliance requirements
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft suite and other software systems as required
  • Proven experience in food processing, manufacturing or logistics inventory and planning
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, GMP).

Your responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Develop production schedules based on actual order plans to prevent overproduction or shortages, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time in full.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, customers to ensure the availability of raw materials, equipment and needs for production are meet.
  • Utilise production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to analyse performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Address and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, supply chain disruptions, and quality concerns in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with carriers, manage shipping schedules, and address any transportation-related issues.
  • Implement and support lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline production processes through the production plan.
  • Ensure all relevant work activity undertaken meets criteria for compliance, quality assurance and supports ongoing accreditation
  • Maintenance of accurate records, files and data to ensure legislative compliance
  • Participate in relevant customer and supplier audits and accreditation activities
  • Demonstrate commitment to workplace health and safety in leading by example
