As we enter an exciting period of transformation focused on commercial excellence, innovation, operational performance, and sustainable growth, we are seeking an accomplished and inspiring leader to join our team as General Manager – Primary Processing at our Cannon Hill Facility.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this critical leadership role will be responsible for leading our primary processing operations, delivering operational excellence, developing people and capability, and driving sustainable business performance.

As General Manager – Primary Processing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the processing operation, ensuring the delivery of exceptional safety, quality, productivity, customer, and financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Championing and embedding a world-class, zero-harm safety culture.
• Driving operational excellence through improved productivity, yield, quality, reliability, and cost performance.
• Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing leadership team while building future organisational capability.
• Delivering continuous improvement initiatives, operational transformation programs, and capital investment projects.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, export, quality assurance, animal welfare, and customer requirements.
• Strengthening customer relationships and supporting commercial growth objectives.
• Driving accountability through disciplined performance management and data-driven decision making.
• Contributing as a key member of the senior leadership team to the broader strategic direction of the business.

Requirements:

You are a proven operational leader with a track record of delivering results in complex, high-volume manufacturing or processing environments. You combine strong commercial acumen with exceptional people leadership and a passion for continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A minimum of 10 years' senior leadership experience within meat processing, FMCG, food manufacturing, or large-scale industrial operations.
• Demonstrated success leading large operational teams and developing high-performing leaders.
• Strong commercial, financial, and strategic management capability.
• Proven experience delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
• A genuine commitment to safety, people development, and organisational culture.
• Experience leading transformation and change initiatives.
• MBA, Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or related qualifications will be highly regarded.
