We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Render Operator to join our Rendering Department at our Cannon Hill processing facility. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring by-products are efficiently and safely processed into high-quality co-products while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

About the Role

As a Render Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of rendering equipment and processes, supporting the production of tallow and meal, and contributing to continuous improvement within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor rendering equipment and processes

• Assist in tallow and meal production to meet quality and production targets

• Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

• Follow all HACCP, GMP, WHS, and site safety procedures

• Promote a strong safety culture and report hazards or issues

• Operate forklifts and perform safe material handling tasks

• Support waste minimisation and continuous improvement initiatives

• Identify and report mechanical or process issues

About You

• Current LF Forklift License with proven experience

• Previous experience in rendering, co-products, or meat processing operations (preferred)

• Strong technical understanding of rendering processes or willingness to learn

• Understanding of HACCP, GMP, WHS, and environmental regulations

• Mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving skills

• Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-focused

• Good communication and time management skills

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts if required
