Job Description

Australian Country Choice Production Pty is hiring a Automation Technician in Cannon Hill, QLD. This is a full-time position.

Australian Country Choice is one of Australia's largest family-owned integrated beef supply chain companies. As we continue to invest in automation and technology across our processing operations, we're looking for an experienced Automation Electrician to join our Engineering team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll use your technical skills to keep our automated systems running efficiently while helping drive continuous improvement across the site.

Working as part of our Engineering team, you'll support the day-to-day operation of our automation systems across the plant. You'll work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT and Safety teams to diagnose faults, minimise downtime and improve system performance.

No two days are the same, so you'll need to be comfortable working across a range of equipment and control systems in a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Fault finding and troubleshooting PLC and electrical control systems
  • Supporting and maintaining Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ignition SCADA
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex automation and electrical faults
  • Maintaining instrumentation and control equipment
  • Assisting with automation upgrades and improvement projects
  • Working with other departments to improve reliability and plant performance

About you

You'll be a qualified Electrician with experience working in industrial automation or manufacturing and have a drive for innovation.

To be successful you'll have:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Licence
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Experience using Ignition SCADA
  • Strong PLC fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Sound knowledge of industrial instrumentation
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work through technical issues
  • A practical, team-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety
