What will you do?

The Digital Power Application Center (DPAC) has several exciting new projects and is looking to enhance our team with a Digital Energy Solutions Tender Engineer. If you are passionate about transforming end user's needs into solutions that help customers meet modern-day requirements, digitize electrical distribution systems in hospitals, airports, data centers, microgrids, and electric vehicle solutions, then this job opportunity might be perfect for you.

  • Capture and understand customer needs
  • Define technical solutions for multi-technology projects
  • Ensure competitiveness and technical compliance of bid submissions
  • Attend technical meetings with customers


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation Engineering degree or equivalent education
  • 5+ years' experience in tendering/quotation for Automation projects related to Industrial Power Systems. Alternatively, experience as a Technical Leader or Technical Project Manager would be considered.
  • Application knowledge of SCADA and Automation Solutions for Industrial Power Systems. General product knowledge in deploying SCADA components.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders, work planning, and organizational skills. Ability to abstract a system from customer requirements.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) or Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Driving license required
  • Availability for travel to customer sites within the country (10-30%)
  • For Quebec-based candidates, functional knowledge of English and French is required. Must be able to work with stakeholders located in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and internationally.
