We are seeking a
motivated and talented AI Engineering Intern to join our CTO group within the Digital Buildings Line of Business. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of
AI-enhanced embedded solutions that drive innovation in smart building technologies.
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Start Date: January 5th, 2026
What will you do?- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop proofs of concept for AI-embedded features in our products.
- Apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to enhance energy efficiency and operational intelligence.
- Work with real-world data from building systems (HVAC, electrical, etc.) to develop and validate AI models.
- Integrate AI components with existing infrastructure, including MCP servers and SQL databases.
- Support the development and testing of control logic and automation features.
- Document technical findings, models, and implementation strategies.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful? - Currently pursuing a Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with applied knowledge in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI.
- Experience with database: SQL, MongoDB.
- Familiarity with # and/or C++. And MCP server environments. Could be a bonus
- Understanding of energy efficiency concepts and electrical systems; HVAC knowledge is a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- Prior exposure to smart building technologies or industrial automation.
