The Maintenance Lead for the Biotherapeutics area is responsible for owning the Gurabo Biotherapeutics Maintenance Operations. The operations include manufacturing (aseptic filling) and packaging areas (including device assembly) as well as utilities and facilities. Uses appropriate infrastructure and technology to support both existing and new business opportunities, focusing on cost reduction through technological optimization, material handling improvements, and lean principles. Manages departmental staff and influences team members to achieve budgetary, quality, efficiency, and EHS goals. Facilitates and provides technical and general direction to the roles that operate critical equipment within Gurabo Biotherapeutics Operations. Responsible for maintaining operations equipment in full compliance with cGMP's and other regulatory requirements. Implements and monitors activities to develop an environment of continuous improvement, recognition culture and people development according to Our Credo Values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for maintaining all Manufacturing, Packaging Processing Equipment, Utilities and Facilities in good operational conditions. Guides and makes sure policies and procedures to establish and maintain systems and processes that meet or exceed all applicable standards and regulations related to facility operations (EHS, etc.).

  • Ensures that personal training requirements are completed in compliance with site procedures. Responsible for the Performance Management System of the resources reporting directly and indirectly to this position including recognition and disciplinary actions.

  • Develops and monitors assigned department metrics/indicators to ensure that departmental goals and targets are met.

  • Based on technical knowledge and compliance guidance formulates and assure accurate completion of corrective action (CAPAs) in the operation areas.

  • Accountable for the operations maintenance resources developmental plan. Responsible for budget and accounts related to the scope of this position.

  • Based on technical knowledge and compliance mentorship formulates and assures accurate completion of corrective action (CAPAs) in the operation areas.

  • Leads Safety, Machine Guarding, Ergonomics and Environmental (including IS014001) initiatives related to all operations equipment and processes. Provide technical support to internal and external audit in the operation areas in regards CGMP's, EHS, OSHA etc.

  • Provides technical support and training on process machinery operation.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum 10 years of applicable experience within a large global organization and

  • 5 years of people leader experience.

  • Experience in aseptic filling processes and device assembly

Preferred:

  • Professional License or certifications according to education background are Desirable.

Other:

  • Ability to travel up to 10 % of the time
