DEPCOM Power is seeking a proactive and skilled Site Technician for our utility scale solar site in Salinas, Puerto Rico. This role is a critical part of our mission to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of renewable energy systems, contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

What You Will Do
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Lead efforts to maintain optimal performance of BESS modules, inverters, transformers, and supporting electrical systems. Strive to achieve and exceed industry standards for system availability and efficiency.
  • Enhance Safety and Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all site operations adhere to safety regulations and best practices. Provide a safe working environment for all personnel and protect equipment integrity.
  • Drive Maintenance Innovation: Utilize your electrical expertise to implement innovative preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. Enhance equipment longevity and minimize downtime through effective maintenance practices.
  • Foster Collaborative Problem-Solving: Partner with component manufacturers and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly and effectively. Share insights and learnings to continuously improve site operations.
  • Optimize Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive records of site activities, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis. Use this data to inform maintenance strategies and operational decisions.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Demonstrated electrical knowledge through practical experience, military background, or technical education.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Proven experience with PV systems, BESS, or renewable power generation equipment.
  • Understanding of AC and DC systems, wiring, and their applications.
  • Proficiency with Maintenance Tracking Computer Programs (CMMS).
  • Experience in a utility-scale PV solar site environment.
  • Hands-on experience with solar site maintenance.
