This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful LNG, power generation, and distributed energy projects across Puerto Rico and the broader Caribbean region. As a key contributor bridging technical, commercial, and customer facing functions, you will influence every stage of the project lifecycle-from early prospecting through commissioning and O& M. You will work closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to drive high visibility energy initiatives that meet the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for LNG, power generation, and distributed energy projects in Puerto Rico and potentially across the Caribbean and Central America. The Project Engineer supports prospecting and the full project lifecycle, bridging technical, commercial, development, execution, O& M and customer-facing functions, to ensure projects meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support proposal development and reviews.

• Prepare and manage project development and execution plans, schedules, and milestones.

• Attend and support customer meetings and stakeholder coordination during prospecting, development and execution phases.

• Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations and international codes and standards.

• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical, safety, and quality issues.

• Support vendor and contractor evaluation, selection, and coordination.

• Support front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed design, construction, and commissioning activities.

• Support O& M planning, documentation, and post-commissioning troubleshooting.

• Provide technical input on LNG systems, including storage tanks, vaporizers, compressors, piping networks, and associated mechanical systems.

• Participate in risk assessments, hazards reviews, and compliance audits.Education & Credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; or a combination of post-high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

• MBA preferred.

Experience:

5 years familiarity with power generation, fuels or micro grids. Experience with utility electrical grids and distributed power models preferred. Bid preparation and/or marketing experience highly desired.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word

Other:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Ability to create financial models, cash flow, NPV analyses and proposal writing. Ability to analyze applicable regulatory agency documents and interpret requirements to ensure solutions are compliant. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.

Working Conditions:

Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
