We are seeking a highly motivated and curious AI/Data Analytics Co-op to join our IT Operations team. This role will support enterprise-wide AI and data initiatives, working closely with functional business areas to identify, design, and implement impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to real-world projects that drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI and data analytics applications.
• Assist in the development and deployment of AI models, dashboards, and data pipelines.
• Support data readiness assessments, including infrastructure, governance, and quality evaluations.
• Participate in proof-of-value (POV) engagements to validate AI use cases.
• Analyze and visualize data to uncover insights that inform strategic decisions.
• Document project requirements, workflows, and outcomes for internal knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to change management efforts that promote a data-driven culture across the organization.

Learning Opportunities

• Exposure to enterprise AI strategy, including governance, engineering, and value tracking frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as SAP, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Participation in cross-functional meetings and training sessions focused on AI adoption and communication.
• Mentorship from IT leaders and data professionals from WAVE, AWI and Worthington Enterprise.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Commitment to AI/ML technologies and their business applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
• Exposure to enterprise systems such as SAP or Salesforce is helpful.
