WOODLOCH PINES INC is hiring a Environmental, Health & Safety Manager in Hawley, PA. This is a full-time position.

Position Description: Conducts Day-to-Day interfacing with all levels of the organization to promote positive safety awareness and drive a culture of safety within the organization.Develop and strengthen the knowledge and capabilities of leaders and employees in guest safety, employee safety, regulatory compliance, and the effective implementation of health and safety programs.Regularly conducts assessments to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.Facilitates various inspection programs focused on machinery and safety equipment to ensure their proper operation and workers protection.Assists department leaders and employees with personal protection equipment selection as well as ensure its proper use, maintenance and storage. Maintains records on equipment.Frequently walk facilities checking for compliance and safety concerns with guest/employee and facility safety, e.g., chemical storage, utility/storage area, workspaces, SDS, accessibility, fire prevention systems. Frequently walk and observe guest activities for compliance and safety concerns, e.g., health concerns of/for guests, accessibility, sound measuring, electrical safety. Stays up to date on requirements of corporation and ensures requirements are understood by all levels of the company. Coordinate, schedule and/or instruct (where applicable) all safety and health training courses including: CPR/First Aid, Wilderness, HazCom, OSHA 10-Hour, Ergonomics, BBP, annual refreshers, and periodic training. Must have the ability to customize training to each departments needs.Assist leadership in the development of safety & health education and communication materials in order to facilitate employee and supervisor awareness. This includes the communication and distribution of key materials.Oversees, participates with and supports Safety Committees.Support the Workers Compensation Specialist with claim investigations, root cause analysis, and the identification and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.Be a resource to on-site First Aid Responders and offer consultation with regulations and Quality Assurance. Be a resource and liaison with safety and compliance between departments in daily operations, events, projects and workspace improvements.Be a resource and liaison with safety and compliance between Woodloch properties and outside contractors/vendors.Coordinate and facilitate communication among Operations, departments, vendors, and properties regarding the evaluation, implementation, and upgrading of life safety systems, including alarm, camera, and phone systems.Creates, updates and implements emergency response guides, procedures and training.Creates and facilitates healthy relationships with local emergency support services and local healthcare providers.Creates and implements corporate safety, health and environmental policies and programs.Coordinates and ensures that mandatory reporting is completed, e.g., annual OSHA Logs, notification of serious accidents, accident investigations, Dept. of L& I (as needed).Guides and manages compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations applicable to the organization. Serves as liaison for external agency officials and contacts on safety, health and environmental matters that affect business interests. Participate in all site regulatory operating (OSHA, ATF, Dept. of Agriculture, etc.) inspections and makes recommendations to leadership directed at compliance with Federal and State Regulations. Required Skills: Prior service industry experience working to build and enhance a safety culture and be comfortable directing the implementation of full-scale safety programs.Exceptional interpersonal and strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are required.Must be able to interact well at all levels of the company.Experience with Health and Safety programs, workers compensation, accident investigations and regulatory compliance and reporting.Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations and overall compliance.Demonstrates the ability to solve problems and make decisions independently.Must be able to provide 24 hour on-call support to leadership.Familiarity with Woodloch a plus. Physical Capabilities: Work indoors and outdoors on a daily basis, day and night, in all weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.Perform frequent physical activities, including extensive walking, climbing ladders, and lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and other objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Required Education: BS in Safety or 4 years of Industry Experience preferred.PA Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician credential a plus.
