Whether you are just starting your career, or have some phlebotomy experience, we're here to help you leverage the extensive phlebotomy training provided, develop your talents, and perform at your best. Your impact as a Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant's donor care team in setting up blood drives at locations withing a 200-mile range while creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donors. What to Expect

Schedule: Variable start/end times between 6: 00 am - 8: 00 pm. Schedule is based on Business needed. Full-time, five days a week including every other weekend required!

Training Information:

Training for this role lasts approximately 12 weeks and is based out of our Greentree location.
  • Weeks 1-2: Classroom and hands-on training with a trainer, including travel to various Donation Centers and mobile sites.
  • Weeks 3-4: Field experience alongside a preceptor on mobile drives and at site locations.
  • Weeks 5-12: Continued training in specific skilled areas could include Phlebotomy, Medical Interview, Alyx, and Trima (approximately 4 weeks per area).
  • After successfully completing training and final assessments at Greentree, team members may continue to travel to various fixed and mobile site locations as part of their regular schedule.

As a Donor Care Tech III, you'll get to:
  • Perform donor interviews and appropriately determine donation eligibility.
  • Participate in donor rebooking activities.
  • Perform whole blood, double red cell, platelet and plasma phlebotomy of donors in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Works as part of a team to achieve daily team production goal. Assists and supports other team members, as required on both Mobile and Fixed Sites.


Requirements

  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Active driver's license with clean driving record.
  • High School Graduate or GED
    • To include training and competent on Trima Blood Collection Systems
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Able to lift 40lbs
