Job Description:

Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our Transfusion Services team. Your impact as a Medical Lab Scientist is vital. Seeking an enthusiastic Scientist who loves mentoring and training in Blood Bank.

Schedule: Days Monday - Friday 7: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, resource and mentor--promoting continuous learning and technical excellence across the team.
• Conduct New Hire Trainings CLIA competencies and Blood Bank Technical Training.

Requirements:

Medical Laboratory Scientist II

• Bachelor's degree in MLS (Medical Lab Scientist) required. Other degrees applicable if you have MLS or BB Certification through ASCP/AHN or other credentialing agency.
• Certified Medical Lab Scientist or Blood Bank REQUIRED.
• Two years of blood bank experience required.
• Base Pay: $35.89-$37.00 /hour

Medical Laboratory Scientist III

• Bachelor's degree in MLS (Medical Lab Scientist) required. Other degrees applicable if you have MLS or BB Certification through ASCP/AHN or other credentialing agency.
• Certified Medical Lab Scientist or Blood Bank REQUIRED.
• Two years charge or Lead experience required.
• Three years of blood bank experience required.
• One year of Reference Lab experience preferred.
• Base Pay: $41.27-$42.55 /hour

Medical Laboratory Scientist IV

• Bachelor's degree in MLS (Medical Lab Scientist) required. Other degrees applicable if you have MLS or BB Certification through ASCP/AHN or other credentialing agency.
• Certified Medical Lab Scientist or Blood Bank REQUIRED.
• SBB Certification REQUIRED.
• Five years clinical laboratory testing required.
• Base Pay: $48.93/hour
