Compensation Considerations: This position will perform inventory management of blood components, including reception, distribution, component transformation and minor equipment scheduled maintenance as needed at the Transfusion Service Core Lab. The shift is 2nd shift (245pm to 1115pm) e/o weekend.

Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry.
What to ExpectSchedule: Eve 3: 00 PM-11: 30PM rotates e/o W/E. Shift differential for EVE and W/E applies.
Training: Days Monday-Friday 7: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM
Base Wage: $17.29/hour - $18.08/hour (depending on experience)

As a Laboratory Technician, you'll get to: - Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
- Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
- Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
- Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
