Compensation Considerations:
This position is responsible for Laboratory Functions that may include inventory management, component transformation, data entry, maintenance of records, and some automated testing.
Shift will be evening shift (2: 45pm to 11: 15pm e/o weekend and holiday rotation)

Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry.

What to Expect

Schedule: Eve 3: 00 PM-11: 30PM rotates e/o W/E. Shift differential for EVE and W/E applies.

Training: Days Monday-Friday 7: 00 AM - 3: 30 PM

Base Wage: $17.29/hour - $18.08/hour (depending on experience)

As a Laboratory Technician, you'll get to:

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
