We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cord Blood Coordinator to join our Cord Blood department. This role provides essential clerical and administrative support to both the Cord Blood Laboratory and Management team, helping ensure smooth departmental operations.

  • Full-time, onsite role supporting the Cord Blood Lab and leadership team

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8: 00 AM - 4: 30PM

What You'll Do
  • Perform all duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations, reporting compliance concerns to management
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and timely entry of donor, processing, and testing data in departmental computer systems
  • Provide support to management in preparing and sending donor notification letters to clients and state organizations
  • Enter, retrieve, and manage information in various software applications
  • Coordinate workflow, assist in staff training on software applications, and streamline administrative processes
  • Organize and maintain laboratory and donor files to meet departmental needs
  • Manage departmental supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, documentation, and stocking of materials and reagents
  • Maintain and track internal/external collection kit inventory, including ordering, shipping, and handling
  • Assist with special projects as assigned, inlcuding research, etc.

Requirements

What You'll Bring


Education
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a health-related field required
Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access; ability to manage databases and both paper/electronic files
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently or as part of a team
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
