Job Location: KING OF PRUSSIA - Wayne, PA

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $70, 000.00 - $90, 000.00 Salary

Estimator - Entry Level

Urban Engineers is seeking a Cost Estimator to join the Estimating Department. This position will be supporting all cost estimate activities required for a wide variety of projects including highway, bridge, marine, transit, aviation, and rail designs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and/or review cost estimates and CPM schedules during any stage of design development.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for a wide variety of projects including highway, bridge, marine, transit, and rail designs for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all estimates, schedules, constructability reviews.
  • Provide estimating, scheduling, change order reviews, and project controls support.
  • Present deliverables to internal and external clients.
  • Update and maintain database and computer-based office libraries.
  • Perform monthly updates for project budgets and estimates.


Requirements :
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in construction cost estimating with a focus on heavy civil or facilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/ construction management or related field, preferred.
  • Proficient in cost control/cost management techniques and applications including cost forecasting and earned value analysis.
  • Experience with estimating software such as InEight, HeavyBid or B2W is preferred or experience learning new estimating software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Bluebeam software or similar.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as ASTA or Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
