Supplemental Health Care is hiring a Paraprofessional Supervisor | Schools in Hanover, PA. This is a full-time position, and paying $290.00–$870.00/year.

Job Description:

Supplemental Health Care is currently partnering with a supportive school district hiring a Paraprofessional Supervisor in Hanover, Pennsylvania. As a national healthcare staffing agency, we're committed to connecting our professionals with the right opportunities wherever they want to work.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent AND either a Passing Score on the ETS ParaPro Exam OR an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or at least two years of study (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours) at an accredited college.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children
  • Prior experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management
  • Proficient in the use of standard computer applications
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 5+ years working with special education in a classroom environment
  • RBT training a plus


Assignment Details:

  • $26 - $29 an hour | 35 hours per week
  • Follows school schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Provide orientation and training support to new paraprofessionals
  • Float to provide coverage when other paraprofessionals in the district are absent
  • Provide on-site observation and feedback to help teaching assistants having difficulties with their students


What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines
  • Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency
  • Assisting students with special needs who may require help with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation
  • Creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive
  • Teaming up with teachers, therapists, and staff to make school a great place to be
  • Willingness to assist with physical or behavioral needs as required
