Job Description
Somerset Trust Company is hiring a Branch Operational Review Specialist in Somerset, PA. This is a full-time position.
Summary As part of the Somerset Trust Team, it is the expectation that all employees provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, foster positive, respectful collaboration with colleagues across the organization, and uphold the values of the company (Service, Fairness, Honesty). Responsible for promoting an efficient and effective control environment for the branch operational network. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Understand and learn business objectives and services and the related risks and controls for the day-to-day operations of the branch network and consumer compliance activities. · Serve as a "Trusted Advisor" and provide guidance to management on branch operational control matters. Serve as liaison between the branch operational network and supporting back-office control functions (e.g., Operations, Customer Care Center, Security, Compliance, and Training). Monitor key branch operational metrics. · Maintain and monitor the branch control reporting system including monthly submissions by branches. · Perform and document reviews for the branch operational network. Report significant issues and potential improvements to Branch Operational Review Officer, Sr Branch Administrator and/or Training. · Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA Policy). · Must be able to build relationships and facilitate collaboration with co-workers within and across the branch network while developing rapport with new and existing staff. Will provide remedial in-branch training when necessary. · Perform special projects and administrative duties, as assigned. Education and/or Experience Typically requires a high school degree or equivalent and 5 years' experience in branch banking including experience as a branch supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to management and the audit committee. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to understand branch transactions. REASONING ABILITY Ability to practice critical and innovative thinking. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
