The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Release Manager / Project Manager to join our growing team and play a critical role in delivering high‑quality software releases across a complex portfolio of SaaS and on‑premise healthcare solutions. In this role, you’ll drive predictable, reliable releases by aligning engineering, QA, product, infrastructure, and business stakeholders—ensuring operational readiness and minimal customer impact with every launch.

Location: Hybrid – Pittsburgh, PA (Core office days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Reports to: VP of Platform Operations

What You’ll Do

Release Management

  • Lead end‑to‑end release planning and execution across the entire product suite, ensuring releases are on schedule, stable, and production‑ready
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a comprehensive release calendar while managing cross‑team dependencies and interdependencies
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate release risks proactively, minimizing disruption to internal teams and customers
  • Facilitate formal Go/No‑Go decisions and release sign‑off with Platform Operations leadership

Project & Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Plan and manage release‑related initiatives using Agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies as appropriate
  • Lead cross‑functional planning meetings, release reviews, retrospectives, and issue‑resolution forums
  • Track milestones, risks, and issues; escalate proactively when delivery, quality, or stability is at risk
  • Ensure alignment between product roadmap commitments and operational execution

Metrics, Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure release quality, predictability, and efficiency
  • Analyze release metrics and provide regular stakeholder reporting on performance, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Identify and manage release‑related risks through clear mitigation strategies and transparent communication

Alpha / Beta / Limited Production Release (LPR) Management

  • Coordinate Alpha, Beta, and LPR activities across product teams
  • Ensure user testing plans are defined, scheduled, and ready at the start of each release phase
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to collect, analyze, and track user input throughout testing cycles

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical release management within a SaaS, cloud, or hybrid environment
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or comparable release/project management tools
