Schneider Electric USA, Inc is hiring a Senior Project Development Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a full-time position.

Join us as a Senior Project Development Manager, where you'll lead complex customer projects from start to finish. This role offers the chance to drive efficiency, manage diverse teams, and deliver exceptional results in a dynamic, global environment.

What will you do?
  • Responsible for the project site safety during project development/audit phase
    • Develop safety strategy for the project and communicate safety requirements to all project team members and subcontractors
    • Ensure safety strategy, safety audits and required job hazard analysis and risk assessments are performed
    • Ensure all personnel and subcontractors are familiar and adhere to Schneider Electric safe work practices and alignment with customer safety requirements
  • Responsible for Customer Satisfaction
    • Collaborate with customer to identify and understand the customer's mission and vision
    • Develop a project strategy that aligns with the customer's mission and vision and operational needs
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding project expectations
    • F acilitate the technical communication and presentation in customer project
  • Project Leadership
    • Demonstrate servant leadership with project team to provide team with direction and tools to be successful
    • Innovation leader driving creative solutions and new ideas to exceed customers' expectations and deliver on project goals
    • Develop project charter and communication cadence for collaboration of project efforts
    • Provide technical leadership on the review of scopes of work, review of project deliverables and customer stakeholder management
  • Develop the Project Plan, Schedule and Budget for the Development Phase of the Project
    • Collaborate with sales lead to develop a close plan strategy and build a project plan to meet the strategy
    • Identify and coordinate internal and external resources required to achieve project objectives
    • Identify schedule and budget constraints and opportunities to achieve project strategy
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams on budget, phasing and scope of work deliverables to meet the project plan
  • Lead, Plan, Organize and Participate in Investment Grade Audits (IGA), Requests for Proposal Audits (RFP) and Business Case (BC) Audits
    • Coordinate internal and external teams for facility audits and site access on customer sites
    • Lead with Sales Lead, customer kickoff meetings and scope debriefs
  • Responsible for developing scope, coordinating technical strategy, project financials, customer reports and final contract
    • Lead the effort in defining project scope and acquiring scope of work estimates that meet or exceed the customer and regional goals and objectives
    • Review and ensure project estimates are accurate and the project scope is executable within the budget.
    • Direct the methodologies of performing energy savings calculations and identify any risk associated with the projections
    • Review savings projections to ensure plausibility and identify any financial risk
    • Prepare final project costs in financial tools for turnkey construction of scope o f work
    • Collaborate with Sales, Construction and Performance Assurance for alignment of project goals, strategy, scope, costs and project requ irements
    • Coordinate t echnical and management reviews
    • Prepare technical audit reports
    • Organize, develop and negotiate Design Professional Agreements (DPA)
    • Responsible for the coordination of efforts, quality control and completion construction contract
    • Complete the RITE Review documents and facilitate Signature level authority as indicated by the Authorization Level Document.
  • Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside the project team's scope of responsibility. Track risks and ensure execution of corrective action plans until project closure.
    • Management of the risk s, assumptions, action items and issues log
  • Monitor the project and report the project status to the management team on a regular basis.
    • Prepare and update project schedule and cost re-estimates on a routine basis.
    • Complete all project status reporting at a regular cadence
  • Scope: Large sized projects with complex scope, multiple project portfolio of complexity, large need for i nternal and external coordination, large project team . Can lead the project and complex stakeholders of all vertical markets: K-12 education, post-secondary and higher education, federal, municipal and county government and healthcare
  • Manage and develop direct and indirect reports
    • Provide leadership, management and performance goals for direct and indirect reports
    • Manage utilization and resource allocation to achieve success on projects
    • Develop plans and goals to meet and exceed business goals
    • Coordinate with other functional and regional leaders
    • Responsible for capturing and sha ring best practices and lessons learned throughout business

  • PMP certification is recommended, CEM certification and LEED accreditation are pluses .
    Relative engineering and project management experience ( 10+ years related work experience preferred)
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of performance contracting, project development process and energy use in building systems .
  • Understanding of energy performance contracts or energy focused design-build projects in lower and higher education or municipal facilities is highly beneficial .

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 117, 600 - USD 176, 400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
