The Nuts and Bolts - Manage the Service department at the branch, developing and executing strategies and business plans to achieve growth and profit margin goals
- Supervise and assist branch administrator and service technicians to ensure Service is conducted in an efficient and effective manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations
- Maintain a safe and environmentally sound work environment, ensuring compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety policies, regulations and laws
- Promote the well-being and safety of service employees including knowledge of all regulatory requirements
- Maintain acceptable sales and profitability levels within the Service Department
- Maintain and build a service/sales relationship with branch customers and prospects
- Prepare and submit proposals for Aftermarket business opportunities based on information provided by sales team, costs, and applicable business unit guidance
- Purchasing materials for repair orders, vehicle maintenance, and shop damage/loss
- Overseeing/maintaining branch 4401 physical inventory
- Repair quotation/scheduling service repairs with Clinton/Chesapeake staff and customers as required
- Hire and develop branch service staff, with support of Sr. Management Team
- Build and strengthen customer relationships by providing service second to none
- Grow market share for key product lines, through service, leading to a strong position in territory and sales lead development for new equipment purchases with service and repair customers
- Produce, review and/or approve bids, quotes, sales orders and recommend major purchases and capital investments in accordance with company policy as it relates to the service department
- Report branch results in weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports and forecasts as required
- Supervise branch service staff
Required Credentials - Three (3) to six (6) years of customer service experience in a up-fit service environment
- Demonstrate clear understanding of, and proficiency in, service management and order system at all levels
- Strong technical background and understand of all types of service activities
- Detailed planning of workloads, inventory, invoicing and scheduling
