Job Description
New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc. is hiring a Risk Management Administrator in New Enterprise, PA. This is a full-time position.
Primary Function: The Risk Management Administrator provides administrative support for the company’s claims and insurance processes. This hourly position is responsible for entering claims, processing claim-related invoices, maintaining accurate records, distributing correspondence, and updating monthly loss reports. The role also assists with insurance renewals and subrogation activities by gathering documentation, tracking information, and coordinating with internal departments and external partners. This position requires accuracy, organization, confidentiality, and timely follow-through.
Essential Functions:
- Accurately enter workplace injury, automobile, property, general liability, and other claim information into the third-party administrator’s system. Review submissions for completeness, attach supporting documentation, and follow up with appropriate parties to obtain missing information.
- Receive, review, code, and route claim-related invoices for approval and payment. Confirm that invoices contain appropriate supporting documentation, reconcile discrepancies, and assist with monitoring invoices through the payment process. Provide administrative support for claim reviews and adjudication under the direction of VP and Senior Risk Management Specialist.
- Create, organize, and maintain accurate electronic and physical claim, insurance, and Risk Management files. Ensure documentation is properly labeled, retained, and accessible in accordance with company record-retention practices and confidentiality requirements.
- Receive, date-stamp, review, scan, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence related to claims, insurance, legal notices, and other Risk Management matters. Identify time-sensitive materials and promptly route them to the appropriate internal or external contact.
- Assist with the annual insurance renewal process by gathering requested exposure data, loss information, schedules, applications, and supporting documents from internal departments. Organize submissions, track outstanding information, and help verify the accuracy and completeness of renewal materials.
- Maintain and update the monthly material loss run report using information received from operating locations, claim files, and other internal sources. Review data for accuracy, follow up on missing or inconsistent information, and distribute completed reports to designated stakeholders.
- Assist with identifying and documenting claims where recovery from a responsible third party may be appropriate. Gather supporting information such as incident reports, photographs, invoices, repair estimates, and third-party contact information. Maintain records, track recovery activity, and follow up with internal departments, insurers, and other parties as directed.
- Assist with bi-annual actuarial review. Gather requested loss run reports and exposure information. Organize submission, track outstanding information and verify accuracy and completeness of review materials.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with General Liability, Auto, and Workers Compensation claims preferred.
- Use of standard office equipment, i.e. computer, copier, fax, printer, etc.
- General understanding of Property and Casualty coverage's claims procedures and company operations.
- Ability to build professional relationships with leaders and external networks.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, good organization skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
- Ability to work independently but as part of a team concept.
- Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
