CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER Location: Morgantown, PA How You Will Make an Impact? The Continuous Improvement Engineer will:
- Support the Site Leader in terms of creating a Culture of Continues Improvement
- Assess Lean Methodologies needs, deliver and/or coordinate proper training
- Understanding the current process state, identifying efficiency/improvement opportunities, then leading cross-functional team members to drive process improvements tied to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the business utilizing Lean methodologies.
Focus areas include but are not limited to; Strategy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Continuous Flow, Material Flow, Visual Management & Total Preventive Management. Automation opportunities identified will be documented and applied where applicable.
The Nuts and Bolts - Document current processes and propose process improvements using problem solving tools including, VSM, Daily Management, and Visual Management.
-Standardize processes across various business units, by developing Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work, and 5S activities.
-Implement process management/process improvement initiatives following Lean methodology
- Create new self-sustaining processes and tracking systems that include identifying and tracking the appropriate manufacturing KPIs, Kaizen activities and savings
- Assist in teaching Lean methodologies to team members.
- Lead Kaizen activities and track financial savings for validation
- Champion communication across the manufacturing plants and between Morgan and its parent company
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams to achieve Kaizen objectives
- Mentor employees as they apply Lean methodology and problem-solving tools

Required Credentials •Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field or related experience
• 5+ years working experience in manufacturing applying Lean methodologies and problem-solving tools in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years' work experience in Lean methodologies and continuous improvement activities and financial calculation of savings, budget forecasting, ROI calculation and ration analysis.
• Trained in Lean manufacturing Principles (5S, Waste Elimination, Mistake Proofing, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Lead Time Reduction)
• Strong analytical skills and extensive experience in financial calculations of savings and return of the investment
• Experience in developing continuous improvement activities in material management and SIOP (Sales Inventory Operating Planning) improvement activities
• Experience in operational performance evaluation (Efficiency/Utilization)
