Job Description
Michael Baker International is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern, Land Development - Summer 2027 in Moon Township, PA. This is a part-time position.
LAND DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE PRACTICE
Through an integrated approach to all stages of land development, we guide clients through the entire life cycle of a project, beginning with due diligence, initial site planning and entitlement approvals, through final engineering, construction management and surveying. Our engineering team collaborates with in-house planning and surveying professionals to deliver quality service that achieves our clients' strategic development goals. We understand that land development engineering for commercial, residential and public use requires a creative, cost-effective, schedule-driven approach.
DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support our Land Development Department working under the supervision of various team members on a variety of design projects in our Moon Township, PA office. In this internship, you will assist project managers, engineers, and designers in completing technical tasks on projects as assigned and will learn the profession as duties are performed, including:

COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $21 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.

- Civil design of roadways, sewers, and utilities
- Hydrology and hydraulic calculations
- Stormwater and erosion and sediment control plans
- Preparation of engineering related calculations and basic reports
- Field Investigations, data collection, and input
- Develop a proficiency utilizing AutoCAD & MS Excel software
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in good academic standing and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited University or College; minimum of 2 years of coursework completed
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Land Development software is a plus
