Description:

1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures

2. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines

3. Be aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems

4. Provide daily coaching supervision and feedback to all department employees

5. Coordinate all the shipping activities of the department

6. Provide backup to shipping/receiving and warehouse personnel as needed

7. Oversee freight program and policies

8. Audit monthly freight charges and approve rates through Power-track

9. Continually improve overall performance of the shipping/receiving/warehouse department

10. Fill in for Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse Area Manager in his/her/their absence

11. Participate in scheduled weekend overtime and be "on-call" when scheduled

12. Assist Shipping Area Manager with coordination of all inventories

13. Increase overall productivity to meet customer requirements

14. Monitor schedules, rush orders, hot list, call-ins etc.

15. Coordinate temporary service employees and all related activities

16. Monitor work areas to ensure all employees are working safely

17. Identify and implement process improvements & increased productivity opportunities

18. Enhance internal and external department communication toward creating and maintaining a cohesive work environment

19. Assist the Department Area Manager on following areas: weekly/daily staffing requirements, overtime requirements, quality complaints

20. Provide input into employee disciplinary issues and performance reviews in a timely manner and in line with employee handbook

21. Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance

22. Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives

23. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
