Job Description

Menasha Packaging is hiring a Maintenance Technician 3rd shift in York, PA. This is a full-time position.

Essential Functions: Changed from Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
  • Change light bulbs and fixtures
  • Cut and install filter material for the air filtering system
  • Change ceiling tiles as necessary
  • Perform general painting duties
  • Perform general construction duties (repair/install walls, hand doors, fix door knobs or locks, etc.)
  • Install, inspect safety equipment/supplies (i.e., eye wash stations, hearingprotectiondispensers, first aid boxes, etc.)
  • Proactively communicate problems encountered to applicable areas, and discuss maintenance concerns with maintenance manager and/or lead
  • Enhance internal and external department communication toward creating and maintaining a cohesive work environment
  • Assist with maintenance projects as needed
  • Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
  • Complete scheduled work orders
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education/Certification

High school diploma or equivalent

  • Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to effectively work in teams
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
  • D emonstrated ability to apply basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles
  • Technical knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment

This is for a 3rd shift Position: Sunday to Thursday 11: 00pm to 7: 00am. There is a 3 dollar shift differential
