Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. Associate Director - SH& E Location: Allentown, PA Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. (LG& E) is seeking an Associate Director, Safety, Health, & Environmental Services (SH& E) to join our team located in Allentown, PA. This position is responsible for establishing the safety culture within the region through engaging the organization in safety programs. This individual will provide direction, coaching, and assessment to area management in safety, health, environmental, and related issues (i.e., regulatory policy and procedures, safety standards, and best practices) for compressed gases and welding equipment in LG& E. Engage participation of managers and employees in safety programs • Leads and directs SH& E managers, plan work and delegate to maximize resources within region. Develop and mentor employees • Monitor and ensure compliance with SH& E regulations and policies; provide feedback to management on compliance and work with managers to develop action plans to improve compliance where needed • Ensure accident/incident reporting and investigations are completed and appropriate action plans/corrective actions are in place; review best practices and make recommendation for changes • Perform root cause analyses • Provide site inspections and assist with correcting deficiencies • Assess area needs and implement programs to address the SH& ES requirements. • Provide training and coaching to employees at all levels within region • Inform area personnel on regulatory issues related to SHHH H& ES • Recommend and oversee the implementation of SH& ES policies and programs based on analyzed needs and future projections • Maintain high degree of interaction to engage employees to achieve zero-zero in safety, health, and environmental areas • Ensure that Linde SH& ES standards are properly implemented Requirements • Bachelor's Degree required • 5+ years Safety/Environmental experience required • 5 + years operations / distribution experience required • Knowledge of Linde POIS, US Worldwide Safety & Health, and Environmental Lotus Notes Databases • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA Regulations • Project Management Skills • Data Analysis Skills • Knowledge of Internal SH& ES Policies and Procedures • Training and Presentation Skills • Experience in Plant and Cylinder Operations • Safety Related or Industry Related Experience • Proven Leadership Skills Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
