What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will oversee and support the procurement process ofpiping, equipment, and package units with respect to supplier compliance withproject and code requirements
  • Prepare and provide project monitoring, cost control, and reporting for the QA/QC discipline
  • Review vendor welding, testing, and NDE procedures
  • Develop, review, and update quality assurancedocumentation such as Inspection Attribute Lists, Inspection Checklists, and
  • Inspection/Welding Specifications for product lines in cooperation with SLNAEngineering and Project Management Departments
  • Respond to and manage quality issues identified byvendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel. Ensure rootcause analyses methodology is followed and corrective actions are completed ina timely fashion
  • You will also monitor quality of products and servicesthroughout execution in order to identify areas of improvement
  • Communicate lessons learned of QA/QC non-conformities toEngineering for implementation into the design and future best practices
  • Interpret code issues for design, fabrication, inspection, and testing of piping, pressure vessels, and welding
  • Collaborate closely with the Materials Technology andCodes Engineer in the review and / or recommendation of changes of material dueto availability or ASTM deviations for active projects and spare parts orders
  • Support the development of purchase specifications inaccordance with the given Code Concept
  • Additionally, you will participate in SupplierQualification Audits
  • Recommend and/or oversee recommendation of NDE methodsfor special alloys, weld details, or operational criticality
  • Lead the supplier inspection process. Develop ProjectInspection Plans and coordinate external inspection resources
  • Conduct in process and final inspections ofequipment, as required
  • Providetechnical support during Inspection visits of purchased equipment forcompliance with project specifications templates, andtools required for QA/QC Engineering and Supplier Inspections, within the SLNAQuality Management System

What makes you great

  • You will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical or Welding Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in Petrochemicals /Industrial Gases in the area of QA/QC application, or any comparable relatedwork experience
  • You will also have extensive knowledge and experience in design, fabrication, inspection, and testing of international Codes and Standards, inparticular ASME, ASTM, API, ASNT
  • Knowledge of NDE/NDT, and QA/QC process standards andtechniques
  • Knowledge of welding and metallurgy; AWS CWI endorsementis preferred
  • Additionally you will have current or previous certification in NDE level II (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT) and/or API certifications (510, 570, SIFE, SIRE)
  • Working knowledge of fabrication, construction, andassembly of plant components; and fired capital equipment
  • Cost responsibility and basic knowledge about bidverification
