Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Tissue Manufacturing at our Chester Plant. Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate, design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing and supporting processes. Recognized for understanding application of technology and demonstrates ability to interface with team members. The ability to identify and resolve process and equipment problems, initiate creative and practical designs which meet expectations, implement engineering and scientific analysis principles, apply engineering standards and procedures, and document work to ensure information is retrievable.

Incumbent will report to the Sr. Asset Leader and receive direction in the form of specific objectives. Recognized for understanding application of technology and demonstrates ability to interface with team members. It starts with YOU.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and Development: Initiate, design, develop and optimize the manufacturing asset and supporting processes to achieve unit objectives.
  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies, and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
  • Lead single or multiple capital or major maintenance projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.
  • Provide functional guidance in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes to meet site objectives.
  • Develops knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and functional leadership in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis and project management while providing advice and counsel to others.
  • Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to eliminate root cause.
  • Assist in the development of others within the area of expertise, while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience.
  • Communicate fully with all levels of the organization. Be informative without being obtrusive. Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive.
  • Improve process capability to deliver a reduction in defects and variability. Identify, develop, and implement products, processes, materials, systems, and procedures to achieve business objectives.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Require a bachelor’s or advanced degree: Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited College or University.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments. Candidates with an Associate, Bachelor, or Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possessing applicable experience may also be considered.
  • Experience with power distribution, manufacturing control systems, such as: PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); variable speed motor drives; HMI (Human Machine Interfaces), distributed control systems; machine safety systems, and instrumentation.
  • Continuing self-development and experience in a variety of assignments is preferred. Lean Six Sigma, and or Continuous Improvement experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrated personal sensitivity and competency in design and/or use of engineering/scientific analysis systems/tools.
  • Expertise in Electrical Engineering with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in capital or expense projects.
  • Experience working with external technical service providers (TSP)
