Role reports to: Occupational Health Manager NA Region
Location: North America, United States, Pennsylvania, Fort Washington
Work Location: Fully Onsite
What you will do The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive health and safety services to employees. This includes conducting health assessments, managing work-related injuries and illnesses, implementing OH promotion programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant health regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Health Assessments and Surveillance
- Conduct pre-employment health assessments and periodic health screenings, including preplacement assessments and medical surveillance testing
- Conduct health surveillance and monitoring for workplace hazards.
- Evaluate employee fitness for duty and return-to-work assessments.
- Evaluate occupational health hazards and develop and implement applicable prevention and treatment practices
- Injury and Illness Management
- Provide first aid and emergency care for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Manage cases of work-related injuries, coordinating care and rehabilitation, including managing modified work offers, reporting to Worker's compensation vendor, OSHA, and other follow up, as required.
- Maintain accurate records of injuries and illnesses and report as required.
- Support non-occupational illness and injuries (Short-Term Disability/Long-Term Disability) in conjunction with Human Resources, and external STD/LTD partners.
- Health Promotion and Education
- Develop and deliver health promotion and wellness programs.
- Educate employees about workplace health and safety practices.
- Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care measures.
- Compliance and Recordkeeping
- Ensure compliance with OH and safety regulations, including but not limited to PA Worker's Compensation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), ADA, FMLA, STD/LTD, HIPPA
- Maintain confidential employee health records and ensure data privacy.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and management.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy including periodic review of Injury and Illness Data in Kenvue data management systems
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for relevant OH and EHS processes
- Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with HR, EHS, and Employee relations to support employee health.
- Participate in health and safety committees and contribute to policy development.
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding health-related concerns.
- Partner with global OH team members to ensure compliance with Kenvue OH standards and applicable best practices.
- Participate in continuing education programs
- Emergency Response
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Provide training regarding first aid and emergency procedures to employees.
What we are looking forRequired Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license for the state of Pennsylvania required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- 4-6 years of nursing experience required
- Certification in CPR/AED/BLS required
- Working knowledge of regulatory areas; i.e.; ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, STD/LTD is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing
- 2 years in Occupational Health (Preferred)
- Experience in case management and emergency response (Preferred)
What's in it for you Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:
$86, 700.00 - $122, 400.00
This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
