The Facilities Management team enhances the employee experience by managing facility risks, aligning with customer expectations, and optimizing operational costs while ensuring safe and sustainable operations.

The Sr Manager, FM Micro Regional Lead is accountable for driving Facility Management capabilities within a select group of assigned facilities and providing oversight of facilities management outsourcing partners. This position is responsible for ensuring high quality, safe, compliant, efficient and effective workplaces across all sites within the micro-region.

A suitable candidate for this role will coordinate facilities management responsibilities across sites of varying size, complexity, and needs. The candidate should have experience in facilities maintenance operations, infrastructure management, soft services, regulated facilities and employee experience.

Key relationships include outsourced vendors, business customers, Regional and Sub Regional FM leadership, Global Workstreams Organization, and key JNJ partners (e.g., Finance, IT, HR, EHS, Security, GHS, and / or Procurement).

This position reports directly to the Sub-Regional Lead role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact engaging with site level business customer for facilities quality, safety, compliance, and performance.
  • Lead site and micro-regional relationships with outsourcing partners, JNJ functions, business customers and authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with external and internal requirements (commercial, laboratory and manufacturing practices) in alignment with EHSS.
  • Serve as the Crisis Management Team lead for Spring House. Implement and maintain business continuity plans at the site.
  • Support Project Development and Delivery teams on capital and infrastructure management projects.
  • Attend and/or lead customer and Facilities Management governance forums.
  • Coordinate site inspections, as needed. Interact with and ensure compliance with all government regulatory bodies.
  • Identify and apply E& PS programs and methodologies and industry innovations to generate savings and optimize the site and business performance.
  • Review and share site-specific data to support regional and global metrics to enhancing performance and cultivate a continuous improvement mentality.
  • Responsible for championing and delivering FM Global Functions and E& PS critical initiatives within micro region.
  • Responsible for fiduciary and performance management oversight of operating and capital budgets.
  • Manage resources and influence team members to deliver on budget, quality, efficiency, and EHS requirements.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate emerging site issues to the business and to the Sub-Regional lead.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, Architecture, etc. or equivalent required.
  • Master’s degree in related field, or equivalent preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years of CRE/Facilities experience.
  • Experience with Biopharma labs and vivarium environments.
  • Good management and strong technical skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in technical and business fields.
  • Documented success achieving project goals.
  • Strong record of local collaboration ensuring completion of projects and people development.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to focus strategically while maintaining a tactical focus.
  • Ability to adapt emerging trends and industry innovations.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams through change and organizational transformation.
  • Digital literacy, including solid understanding of MS Office suite.

Preferred:

  • Budget/financial management skills.

Other:

  • Ability to travel regularly between sites, up to 10% of time.
  • Proficiency in the English language required.
  • At least 10% travel required within the micro region (Horsham, PA; Washington, DC & Maryland).
  • Certification (e.g., MCR, SLCR, etc.) preferred.
