JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The National Sales Director is a key leadership position within the Immunology franchise. He/she will be responsible for strategically leading a team of Regional Business Directors and Rare Disease Account Managers promoting our Immunology Autoantibody therapy.
The senior sales leader will be responsible for:
• Strategic Planning and enabling flawless customer facing sales execution to deliver on patient and business commitments
• Collaborate with cross-functional brand team and critical business partners to develop and execute national sales strategies and tactics
• Demonstrating a firm grasp of industry trends, understands market conditions, or develops strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
• Working with Marketing / Brand team's and strategic partners to develop a plan of action that optimizes promotional impact and takes advantage of current and future market opportunities.
• Collaborating with Sr. Management to translate brand strategies into actionable tactics for the sales force and develop standards across regions to measure success.
• Working with Regional Business Directors (RBD) and key field business partners to develop regional field business plans that will meet or exceed brand objectives.
• Partnering with business partners to develop, communicate and administer sales forecasts, sales call plan, sales incentive plan.
• Working with Strategic Customer Group to develop customer focused contracting solutions and holds RBD team accountable for field execution.
• Analyzing sales and operations data to monitor sales progress and develop action/coaching plans to improve sales force effectiveness/efficiency.
• Creating a high-performance work environment in which he/she builds accountability at all levels in the organization through empowerment, involvement and collaboration.
• Talent Development: Drive mastery of requisite skills (business, selling skills, therapeutic understanding, territory management, etc.) of the sales organization by partnering with Sales Training by identifying key areas for development and developing appropriate curriculum.• Undergraduate degree, B.A. /B.S. required; Masters in related field or M.B.A is preferred
• Candidates should have a proven track record of success with a minimum of 10 years of industry cross-functional experience in key Commercial & Sales Leadership roles (ex. Sales, marketing, strategic marketing, payer/access experience, analytics, international experience, NBD)
• Must have extensive, diverse cross- functional experience, including a minimum four years brand marketing and/or similar strategic experience.
• Very strong direct people management and leadership experience is required, including a proven track record of leading large teams and management level professionals.
• Prior experience in sales as either a professional sales representative, DM or RBD is preferred
• Demonstrated capabilities and traits for career path versatility to progress to other key roles are preferred.
• Ability to lead, develop, coach, and engage high-performing, diverse teams is required. Very strong communication skills
• Very strong demonstrated leadership skills consistent with the J& J Leadership Imperatives (Connect / Shape / Grow)
• Demonstrated high level of commercial capabilities and clear cycles of success in prior commercial roles
• Significant travel (approximately 30%-40%) including sales and medical meetings, training and field visits
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 173000 to 299000.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. • Please use the following language:

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
