Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R& D is recruiting for an Experienced Scientist, Biotherapeutics Research & Development. This position can be located in Malvern, PA or Spring House, PA.
We are seeking an Experienced Scientist to join our innovative team within the Drug Product Development and Delivery (DPD& D). In this role, you will support our Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) System, leveraging your scientific expertise and digital skills to drive advancements in the development of large molecule drug products.
As an Experienced Scientist, you will play an enabling role in optimizing laboratory workflows and ensuring the effective implementation of our ELN system. Collaborate closely with researchers to capture, analyze, and manage critical experimental data, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and accuracy of our drug development processes. Help facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, enabling a more integrated approach to scientific discovery.
Principal Responsibilities:
Serving as the primary DPD& D Benchling system administrator, performing/coordinating Benchling administrative duties, including schema and template management.
Gathering business requirements and implementing solutions for continuous improvement of the Benchling system.
Collaborating with team members to integrate laboratory data and improve efficiency.
Providing Benchling training and support for DPD& D engineers and scientists.
Conducting routine analyses to ensure overall compliance with DPD& D data capture strategies.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline is required.
A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
Laboratory experience with therapeutic proteins and/or biologic products is required.
Experience in pharmaceutical discovery or development is preferred.
Experience utilizing electronic laboratory notebooks is required.
Experience with Benchling is preferred.
Training experience is preferred.
Experience partnering with external vendors is preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
The ability to work in a matrix environment and collaborate with different functional groups is required.
